How to Export to Brazil

The export of most kinds of goods to the Brazilian market as a rule is not subject to restrictions (licensing). There are, however, some exceptions for which it is necessary to observe certain requirements and receive previous authorization from the competent authorities.

The list of imported products subject to authorization includes food goods, beverages, pharmaceutical and veterinary products, cosmetics and agricultural products, including seeds and fertilizers. The entrance of certain types of goods, such as toys and ground coconut, may be dependent on special procedures for authorization.

The procedures for importation are informed through the Integrated Foreign Trade System, known as SISCOMEX, which by establishing a single source for a variety of information, promotes the integration of registration, accompaniment and control of import and export operations. SISCOMEX is thus a tool designed to facilitate and make more agile administrative proceedings in the field of foreign commerce.
